HIV Outreach Prevention Program:
Funded by the Texas Department of State Health Services, the program employs multicultural counselors who perform outreach activities to provide HIV/STD education, counseling, testing, and referrals. The goals are to promote safer sex practices, risk reduction techniques, and substance abuse prevention methods.
HIV Early Intervention Program:
Funded by the Texas Department of State Health Services, this program employs multicultural case managers who are either LCDC or CI to provide services to:
- persons at risk of being HIV infected as a result of practicing a substance abuse lifestyle
- already infected persons identified as having a problem with substance abuse,
- significant others and/or family members of those described above.
HIV Education to Youth:
Funded by United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, the outreach counselor of the program provides education on HIV to youth, ages 13 to 17.
